3rd Annual CCMC WORKSHOP For “Men In Mid-Life”
CCMC Principals Steven Freemire, Marty Sochet, Dominic D’Ambrosio and David Franklin led the third annual MIML workshop on February 25, 2017 in Lafayette, California. The three daylong events in 2015, 2016 and 2017 attracted men ranging in age from their mid-30s to their early 70s. Workshop sessions focused on issues related to work, relationships, parenting, financial security and stability. Some men were in the midst of difficult transitions in their lives, others expressed a desire for more meaningful and deeper emotional connections, or a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
Participants shared a strong bond of connection, as illustrated in these comments about what they valued about the day:
“Meeting men who feel the way I do. The openness of everyone.”
“Realizing the commonality of issues we face as men.”
“Hearing other people’s story, discovering my situation is not unique.”
